Streamlining and Accelerating Moves
Help Move Mom’s (HMM) core business is the provision of pre- and post-moving services and the sale of the current house. Taken together these services are designed to provide project management of the entire moving process, to both streamline and accelerate the decision to move and the logistics involved.
We’ll meet with you to develop a custom plan for Help Move Mom’s services that best serves your residents and the community. Options include white-labeling and a scope of services designed to best fit your move-in procedures and business model. HMM’s goal is to provide the maximum flexibility to accommodate your marketing and service level goals.
Smooth Takeoffs are pre-move services specifically designed to help transitioning residents prepare for a move to a new home and the next chapter in their life. The team provides a full array of services to streamline the moving process from start to finish, including: downsizing, decluttering, organizing, staging, and selling the family home. In addition to purely logistical issues, Help Move Mom recognizes that life-changing moves frequently impact extended family members – near and far. Our professional teams will facilitate communication and coordination with all involved parties for the disposition of physical assets, including furniture, art, collectibles, personal items, and the sale of the current house.
Our post-move service is designed to help new residents feel at home the moment they walk through the door. This means their furniture is in a familiar arrangement, pictures hung, beds made, and coffee ready to brew. To do this, our professionals work with pre-approved floor plans to accommodate furnishings in a way that conveys a sense of familiarity and being at home to new residents.
We also arrange and manage additional services that complement the Smooth Takeoffs and Soft Landings processes.

Susan is a long-time board member and the immediate past president of the National Association of Senior Move Managers (NASMM). She is also the founder and CEO of The Mavins Group, a real estate and move management company serving the New Jersey/New York metropolitan area. Susan began the company in 2007 with the aim of helping families navigate through changes often associated with age and lifestyle transitions. She and her team understand the physical and emotional demands of beginning a new stage in life and plan transitions based on each client's individual needs. The team provides a full array of services to streamline the moving process from start to finish, including downsizing, decluttering, organizing, staging, and selling the family home.
Scott is a serial entrepreneur. After more than 35 years in finance and real estate, including International Banking with Chase Manhattan Bank, CEO of Great Western Bank, Executive Director of Canary Wharf Development Co. in London, Scott turned his interest to start-ups in the technology and the services industry. Among these was Concierge Services of America, Digital Signature Trust, and HealthIDx. Having lived in 5 countries and 4 states, Scott understands moving. That combined with parents who, at end of their lives, were in assisted living communities, ensures he has the personal experiences necessary to deal both empathetically and systematically with prospective residents and their families.
